1976 - 1996 : Eureka = DISTRIMIX

Rémy SALEUR, Créateur du Distrimix et de la publicitéSuch a long road traveled...

A dream bornin 1976 out of the creative mind of a "Mr. Anybody", and following a simple mishap, the dream became a reality.

It all began on a fishing outing, an urgent biological need, a roll of toilet paper that fell into the water, and seeing no alternative, I used it anyway !

EUREKA !... I had discovered all of the advantages of this wet paper ; Efficiency, Confort, well-being, and Hygiene

And fhus was born DISTRIMIX, the first dispenser/moistener for toilet paper.

The third revolution in hygiene next to hand-washing
and tooth-brushing.

Le professeur Guy Benhamou. Responsable du service chirurgie à l'hôpital BichatIn May of 1992, a franco-japanese colloquium took place at the Pasteur Institute that brought together specialists to discuss personal hygiene and sanitation matters ans to address this rather delicate but pertinate issue which concerns each of us.
Docteur Guy Benhamou, chief of Surgery at the Bichat Hospital declared that next to hand-washing and tooth-brushing, the thirst most important hygene area would be that of the anus. He advises cleaning with soap and water after each bowel movement rather than simply wiping with dry toilet paper.

To quote the docteur, I refer to the letter he addressed to me after I had presented him with the
DISTRIMIX idea :
(...) "After having understood the importance of washing one's hands and brushing one's teeth, the time has come to learn anal hygiene since the lack of such hygiene has been the cause of illness for practically one out of every two Frenchmen. Your
DISTRIMIX dispenser which provides for a correct cleansing after a bowel movement allows us to wash ourselves easily without having to invest in expensive architectural or domestic structures."
